FRANCIS KOFI KORANKYE-SAKYI, MBI, MCIArb

Meet our Founder/Chief Executive Officer

Mr Francis Kofi Korankye-Sakyi, MBI, MCIArb (PhD-Law (c), LL.M, MA, LL. B, B. Ed, Mini-MBA, ACAM, CIMC, CPMP, DPA (h. c))

Mr Korankye-Sakyi is a PhD (Law) Candidate at the University of Ghana Law School. He holds LL. M (Trade, Investment and Business Law in Africa) from the University of Pretoria, South Africa. He also holds a MA (Governance and Sustainable Development) from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. He is
Global Law Academy Scholar of the David Kennedy Harvard Law School with a certificate in global law, economic policy and social justice.

Francis is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, University of Cape Coast, Ghana where he teaches Commercial Law, Trade and Investment Law, Banking Law and Company Regulation. He is a visiting Lecturer at the University of Ghana Law School where he teaches Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Law, Competition Law for LL.M/MA courses. He has also been teaching at the Master degree level in Legal Environment of Business and Regulations at the School of Business and the College of Distance Education, University of Cape Coast since 2021.
Before joining the academia, he had taught at the secondary school and other basic schools in Ghana for about 15 years before being appointed by the President of the Republic of Ghana to serve as a District Chief Executive (Mayor) for the Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira District in the Central region of Ghana from 2013 to 2017. He was also the founder and former Proprietor of Jabez High Academy, a private basic school.

He has been involved in developing curriculums for Business Law and Competition Regulations for higher institutions of learning such as the University of Ghana School of Law and the Faculty of Law, University of Cape Coast. He has researched and published, mostly about the intersection of law, trade, business
regulation, human rights and justice, policy, the politics and economics of development, and climate change governance.

In 2020 he served as a “Strategy Expert” for the National SMME Support Project at the Department of Entrepreneurship, Faculty of Economics and Management, University of Pretoria, South Africa. He is a Policy Associate at Alliance for International Development, Education and Research (AIDER),
Birmingham, UK. He is a lead Trade Expert for PD Consult, Praia, Cabo Verde-International Consultancy, and served as a member on International Chamber of Commerce Working Group on Trade and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises for WTO Ministerial Conference (2019), among others.

A human rights, law, natural resources and project management professional with expertise in social justice and human rights advocacy, legal research, trade and investment law, biodiversity conservation, community and sustainable development. 

Socioeconomic and natural resource researcher with over ten years post-graduate industrial experience and knowledge in research in natural resources conservation, sustainable development practices, good environmental governance for economic development, natural resource economic policies of Ghana, economic rights advocacy, and climate change adaptations practices.

Senior Associate

Vellah Kedogo Kigwiru, an advocate of the High Court of Kenya, focuses on providing both legal and policy advice on topics that seek to understand governance and the actual implementation of laws, rules and principles by national and regional level institutions in the global south and in particular Africa, and how they interact with global governance. In doing so, through theoretical and methodological approaches, in addition to historical trajectories, she explores why there exist great disparities between the goal of establishing these institutions and the actual implementation with the aim of addressing the challenges that these regimes face.
Her areas of expertise focus on: competition law and policy; legal technology and innovation; international economic law; trade law; regional integration; human rights; and legal research and writing.
Kigwiru has recently published a journal article on the cooperation of competition policy under the African Continental Free Trade Area and she is conducting a PhD research on ‘Regional Regulation of Market Competition in Africa’ using the COMESA competition regime as a case study in a comparative analysis with the European Union.

Eric Pokoo-Aikins

As a qualified chartered accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana, Eric possesses various qualifications in various fields including a Microsoft Office Specialist certification by the former CEO of Microsoft, ‘Satya Nadella’, a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Management from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, A bilateral exchange studies at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, studying Entrepreneurship and Marketing and a candidate of a Bachelor of laws degree from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. Eric was given a Dean’s excellence award as a high-performing student by the UCC School of Business in 2017.

As a self-motivated chartered accountant and a Microsoft Office Specialist, Eric has hands-on experience providing professional services such as auditing and maintaining accounts, with pleasant communication skills. In the past, Eric has been able to help his organization transform from a manual way of keeping records and making sales to a digital form through the use of the TallyPrime Software. Eric has also been able to tutor a student to emerge as the overall best candidate in the courses he taught for the student’s level 1 Institute of Chartered Accountants exams. Eric is keen to support organizations with key account management and financial analysis. Eric enjoys creative problem-solving and exposure to multiple projects and would excel in the collaborative environment your company prides itself on.
